As the king's permanent representative, he was responsible for the constrained rights of the Bohemian estates and for higher tax revenue in order to pay of the Habsburg debts with the Fuggers caused by the Schmalkaldic War. After his father's death in 1564 Ferdinand was granted, in line with his father's testament, reign over Tyrol and the Further Austria (Vorarlberg, Breisgau, Burgau and others). Following the wish of Maximilian II, Ferdinand II remained Bohemian governor in Prague until 1567.References:VD17 23:230480V; BL (German books) S 1339; Brunet V, 224; Graesse IV/1, 317; Colas 2690.Proof found in just a few libraries, among them Stabi Berlin, BSB Munich, Herzog-August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel, Nuremberg City Library, New York Public Library, Getty Research Institute, Research Library.
