Description: Edward Prior, London, England, triple cased verge fusee for the Turkish market, key wind and set, gilt plate movement with pierced and engraved balance cock and regulator plate, in a sterling silver, open face triple case, the outer case with underpainted horn and pique decoration, London hallmark, and date letter for 1860, white enamel dial signed Edward Prior London, blued steel beetle and poker hands, serial #73046, 55mm.

Condition Report: CASE: Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Case 2 with minor dent near pendant, inner case also with minor dent on back; Horn covering with a few splits and a minor loss below the pendant, missing a few pins; Outer case will not close fully, as the back is lined with velvet - will close with lining removed; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Hairline in enamel, very light, 9:00. HANDS: Good, minor oxide, minute may be replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Specks of dirt / dust, haze. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).

Condition Report: Rosewood veneered case in an old finish with some bubbled veneer on the octagon members of the case along with some shrinkage splits and filled in split areas. There are a couple of small areas on the drop portion of the case that have bubbled veneer. The gilt molding on the bottom door is now gold painted. Original dial looks to have original paint with some minor loss in the center and at the seconds dial. Hands are original. Signed movement. Ht 32"
