Blade front and tangent rear sights, both offset to the right with the makers mark "DANSK REKYLRIFFLL SYNDIKAT/KOBENHAVN" on the left side of the receiver. A two-position selector switch is installed on the left side near the ejector port and a safety lever is present on the rear of the triggerguard. Description: Madsen Machine Gun, BATFE Registered Fully Transferrable, with Nazi Pattern Bipod, Two Box Magazines and Spare Barrel Assembly Developed in 1902, the Madsen was widely adopted, seeing military use as late as the 1970s and being deployed in narcotics-related violence as late as 2013, both in the hands of Brazilian drug cartels and the Brazilian Military Police fighting them. At the onset of hostilities in World War II, the Madsen was the main infantry machine gun in Norway, and would be used by the Nazis as a second-line weapon following the invasion of Norway. This model is configured for anti-aircraft use, with a set of bases at the front and rear of the heat shield (sights absent) that also double as bases for a German-style spring loaded bipod, which is stamped "WaAa15" on multiple parts, and a cone shaped recoil booster on the front. The receiver is configured for belt feeding, with a u-shaped path for the empty belt running over the top cover and a feed mechanism designed to work in conjunction with a specialized box magazine (two included, both green painted steel with leather carry handles). The right side bears Madsen markings and the charging handle, with a 2-position safety switch on the left, wood paneled pistol grip, brown leather sling and a folding buttstock with leather cover. Included with the gun is an extra barrel/breechblock assembly, with a brown leather carrying case. Description: Fully Automatic Birmingham Small Arms Bren Mark I Machine Gun, with Two Extra Barrels, Three Extra Magazines and a Tripod, BATFE "Sales Sample" Registered Submitted for competition with the British Army in the 1930's the Czech ZB vz.26 light machine gun was accepted over the American BAR, Danish Madsen, and other contemporaries, and underwent a series of alterations resulting in the BREN gun. This example was manufactured in 1941, and later registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as a "Sales Sample". Blade front and 200-2000 yard rear peep sights, both offset to the left to clear the top-loaded magazine, with "Mk I./D/1941" on the left side of the receiver, an electro-penciled Canadian "Broad Arrow C" on the barrel release latch, and "A S R" markings for the selector, indicating Automatic, Safe, and Repeat (semi-automatic). Smooth pistol grip stock, with a steel capped wooden buttstock. Included with the machine gun are two extra barrels, three extra magazines, and a folding tripod with traverse and elevation mechanism. Manufacturer: BSA Model: MK I BBL: 25 inch round Stock: walnut Gauge: 303 Finish: black Grips: Serial Number: L1400 Class: Class III Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with over 80% of the matte black finish on the receiver, and about half on the barrels, with scattered mild spotting and handling marks. Numbers are mixed overall, with some components restamped to match. The stock is fair as repaired, with a crack on top of the wrist interrupted with a wood patch, along with some mild dents. One of the traverse lockouts is absent from the tripod, which is otherwise in good order. Mechanically very good. (Various Studios, 1900s-1910s) Collection of vintage (20) glass plate 9.5 x 11.75 in. camera negatives of remarkable images from European silent films including Lady Godiva (Aß-film, 1920) and Kameliadamen (US title: The Lady with the Camellias). Expressionist and art nouveaux-inspired production images from period dramas set in ancient Rome, Medieval Europe, and Far-East Asia, depicting crusaders, despotic kings, doomed maidens, court intrigue, romance, and combat. Featuring rare views of silent star Hedda Vernon as “Lady Godiva”. Also includes (4) images from Vigo Larssen’s Kameliadamen, first screen adaptation of the classic novel The Lady with the Camellias by Alexandre Dumas fils, the book that inspired Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La traviata and served as source for Camille starring Greta Garbo. Filmed in an innovative tableaux structure, the story is divided into five chapter-like scenes, separated by inter-titles, that each elapse without a single cut. Depicting the climactic deathbed reunion of star-crossed lovers “Armand Duval” (Viggo Larsen) and “Marguerite Gauthier” (Oda Alstrup) including views of the couple’s reconciliation as Marguerite’s friend (Hegla Tønnesen) looks on, Armand weeping over Marguerite’s body, and Marguerite’s nurse (Inger Melchoir) comforting the bereaved Armand.
