Condition B+: tears and restoration at edges, some into image; creases in margins and image. Picasso wrote this, the first of two plays, in just a few days in January 1941 during the German occupation of Paris. He held a reading in his studio on March 19th, 1944. Its first full theatrical production took place in Saint-Tropez in 1967 as part of the Festival of Free Expression, for which this poster was designed.
