Circa 1910
The domical shade with an irregular border, decorated with large poppy blossoms in various stages of bloom, in semi-opaque mottled red, lavender, purple, apricot and white colored glass, further decorated with striated green leaves and stems, supported by a tapering foliate decorated standard, ending in a domed circular base on bulbous feet, pierced metal cap and bulbous finial, unsigned. Height 6 feet, diameter of shade 28 inches.
See Paul Crist, Mosaic Shades, Volume II, p. 226, for an illustration of this rare model.

C The Leo Lerman and Gray Foy Collection

Condition Report: Shade appears to have multiple hairline cracks to some of the glass segments, notably along the side edges. There are six light sockets, at least three of which are marked Hubbell; one of the light sockets is a later replacement. Two of the switches are not working.
Base shaft is slightly leaning, patina on base is nicely mottled green and brown; has been rewired.
