the straight moulded cornice over a panel door inlaid with ivory depicting a chevalier amongst grotesques, birds, animals and foliate scrolls, with ripple cut mouldings; the later stand with a moulded frieze with ivory inlaid panels, raised on spiral turned legs joined by an undertier, on turned feet
59cm wide, 153cm high, 33cm deep
- several cracks to front panel
- left side panel with a wide vertical crack; right side with smaller cracks
- interior plush lining ok by a bit tired
- some of the line inlay lacking from the sides, but most of the door and apron panels are intact although cracked in places
- central boss on stand cracked
- old marks and scratches consistent with age and use
