Description: ROBERT BARTON An autograph letter signed R. Barton addressed to 'Seumas', evidently an editor, dated March 29, sending him 'with much trepidation' a paper (concerning Irish Volunteers?) and asking him to look over it with a critical eye. 'I have no literary turn & it may be full of howlers'. On good quality laid paper, somewhat soiled. With a membership card for 'Cairde na Saoirse' (Liberty League), a short lived organisation founded by Count Plunkett, issued to Colman O Donamhain, Bandon, 1917; and a printed copy of 'Count Plunkett's Speech in the Republican Dail, 19 December 1921, on Arthur Griffith's motion, ''That Dail Eireann Approves of the Treaty''. Quarto, printed one side only, scarce. (3)
