Description: 19th century, 14K yellow gold and enamel Society of Cincinnati medal, inscribed "Societas: Cincinnatorum: Instituta: AD1783", approximately .7oz / 13 DWT TW, 1 1/3"h x 1 1/4"w. Tests 14K. This medal passed down through the family of Emmett J. Flaving, who married Amy K. Condit, daughter of the American Revolution whose family was land granted and came over to Philadelphia from England in the 1700s.
