Lisbon, PortugalLive Auction
As part of the archipelago of Madeira, Porto Santo is the ultimate tourist virgin paradise in Europe.
The island has 8 miles of white sandy beaches and mild climate. In the summer the water temperature ranges between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius, the same happening in spring and autumn. In winter the water cools off only half a degree.
The first line of the beach is a unique setting. This lot is a land prepared for the development of a 5 star Resort and Spa among the shiny dunes and ocean views, within sight of the village and the islet of Cal. This is a rare location, probably the last lot available for construction next to the beach.
The projected Resort, in three interconnected volumes, aims to give the feeling of having been a collapse of the slope in order to create a strong symbiosis with the surrounding nature. The land occupies an area of 15740 square meters, with project for 100 rooms.
The construction will leave free the sea view, in accordance with the guidelines of the municipality of Porto Santo. The reception areas and small conciergerie will be next to the road, with 10 parking spaces on the outside and one for buses. All other buildings will be below the road level, thus preserving the scenic backdrop of the dune.
There is the possibility for two floors, leaving one half-buried. The project allows for the construction of the embankment in the parent building, having two wings structurally independent, that interlock with the previous building. These two wings are designed for housing units, getting all the supporting infrastructure from the parent building.
On the island, discovered in 1418 by João Gonçalves Zarco and Tristan Vaz Teixeira, we can observe the House of Columbus, where the navigator lived. Today it is a museum. You can also visit the Fort of São José, the eighteenth century Church, the Old Pier, among other monuments.
Porto Santo is known as the "golden island" due to the color of the soil. It has dense vegetation and huge beaches, considered by its tranquility, a retreat. The sea and the optimal temperatures throughout the year, sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and water skiing.
This land for Resort and Spa is located in a unique natural setting, along one of the most beautiful beaches of Portugal. It is an excellent investment.
