Description: An important Sioux Puberty Bag constructed from calf and decorated with sinew sewn beading and found objects such as a miniature stoneware jug, small conch sea shell, celluloid covered shirt stud, objects carved from nuts, brass bells, a mother-of-pearl heart, Elk teeth, a circa 1900 clothing button from Scovill Manufacturing of Waterbury Connecticut and bits of other found objects. The measurements are 13" long x 7" wide. This piece was DE accessioned from the personal collection of Forrest Fenn. It was published in Fenn's book SPIRITS IN THE ART, page 125-Plate 127; displayed on a custom stand.
Condition Report: Good condition noting some old repairs and scattered tears and separation.
