Description: Sandrart (Johann Jakob von) Accuratissima totius Africæ Tabula in Lucem producta, large vignette title of various African costume figures and animals, engraved map by Johann Baptist Homann with original hand-colouring, 490 x 575mm., central vertical fold with a parallel repaired tear at the lower end, repaired marginal losses including both upper corners of border supplied in pen facsimile, Nuremberg, c.1700 § Robert de Vaugondy (Gilles & Didier) Afrique divisée en ses principaux Empires et Royaumes, decorative title cartouche upper right, text panel to the right side, engraved map with hand-colouring, 505 x 670mm., central vertical fold, some browning and surface dirt, mostly marginal, a small marginal loss just to platemark, upper centre, a few short marginal tears, Paris, Delamarche, c.1795; with a mixed group of other maps of the continent of Africa, including a large 4-sheet map by D'Anville, 1749, others by Bellin, Mortier, Levasseur, Tallis, SDUK, including Lieut.
