Looking for the realized and estimated price?

Description: serial #13828, 22 K-Hornet, 24" barrel with a near excellent bore that is mostly bright with a few light pits toward the breech area. The barrel and receiver retain about 97-98% original blue with some light handling marks along the barrel, the floorplate and triggerguard show more loss with about 80% blue remaining. The barrel is stamped "Kilbourn" beneath the caliber marking, with his one piece stamp. The checkered walnut stock rates excellent and has a few small dings and added varnish and there is a minor repair from a receiver sight modification. The front sight is intact with its hood and the rear sight has been replaced by a slot blank. A set of target blocks has been mounted to the receiver and barrel just forward the rear sight dovetail which hold a Lyman Targetspot with a fine target crosshair with dot and very good optics. The scope is in excellent overall condition and has a rubber eye cup. Lysle Kilbourn was a well known gunsmith and designer and was possibly best known for his "K" series small bore cartridge modifications. He first developed his popular "K-Hornet" cartridge in the early 1940's, likely when this rifle was modified. An excellent 1938 vintage sporting rifle that was modified by a well known period gunsmith and should make a fine varmint or target shooting arm. (45628-12) {C&R}
