Description: BLOWN-MOLDED FONT WITH TRIPLE-DOLPHIN STEM BASE STAND LAMP, opaque white font with blue ground to top and bottom, central-recessed band with polychrome floral decoration, dark starch-blue base, brass connector, No. 2 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Van Kirk No. 2 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "C. A. VAN KIRK & CO / PATENT JULY 17 / 1860", spring-loaded set screw for securing the chimney, standard 4" stamped shade ring with coining, cut and roughened ball-form shade with stylized-floral pattern, and a lip chimney. Base: Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. Shade: Mt. Washington Glass Co.
Condition Report: Very good condition, font undamaged, top of stem with a moderate shallow chip and several flakes/roughness, one dolphin nose with a bruise, foot edge with a light bruise and minor flakes/roughness, connector with some light denting. Burner and shade ring undamaged, shade top rim with a small chip and chimney fitter with some losses and flakes/roughness.
