Looking for the realized and estimated price?

Description: Winchester Model 1873 1st model with impressed thumbprint dust cover in .44-40 caliber with 24" round barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, serial number 7894. Copy of factory letter confirms configuration and received in the warehouseSeptember 4, 1875, shipped from the warehouse September 8, 1875 to order number 4318. The factory letter is addressed to iconic Winchester collector James D Gordon and this rifle is referenced in his text on Winchester model 1873.The rifle remains in good original condition showing a brown patina finish with strong traces of blue mixed in. The barrel address is legible as is the model 1873 and there is some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. Also some minor nicks, mars and normal aging and the dust cover matches the patina with some good blue on the loading gate. The sights are in their correct positions. Stocks show some weathering and normal wear from exposure and use but aregenerally good with some minor normal aging and slight imperfections. The action is working but sticks a little and you will to at this age and the bore is fair to good. Est.: $2,750- $5,500.
