  Barbers Auctioneers was founded in 1920 by Mr John Barber and first traded in Woking as an antique dealer and valuer. Mr Keith Mansfield acquired the company in 1964 and in 1985, after spells in Chobham, Woodham and The Lansbury Estate, Barbers Fine Art Auctioneers re-located to the Mayford Centre on the outskirts of Woking where it remains today.
  
  Barbers Fine Art Auctioneers is one of Woking's true family businesses. with Keith's middle daughter, Heather Cannon, filling the roles of Company Secretary and Assistant Auctioneer. Heather's knowledge of literary works has added a further dimension to the knowledge of the company.
  
  Barbers Fine Art Auctioneers pride themselves on their expertise and attention to detail across the whole spectrum of antiques. Office and auction room are under the same roof with auctions taking place, on average, every five to six weeks, now grossing in excess of £100,000.
  
  Antiques and items accepted for auction cover a wide range including:
  
  ephemera
  grand pianos
  antique jewellery
  textiles
  period furniture
  objects d’art
  collectibles such as toys, models and games
  
  The auction room is conveniently situated between the A3 and the M25 and there is ample free parking available outside.
  
  The Company has a policy of thoroughly investigating all antiques brought in and, where applicable, large items can be viewed by Mr Mansfield on site anywhere in Woking and the surrounding areas.

  IT IS WITH REGRET THAT DUE TO THE DIFFIDENCE ON THE PART OF SOME BUYERS TO HONOUR THEIR CONTRACT WITH US, WE HAVE DECIDED THAT WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT WE SHALL BE REQUESTING CASH PAYMENTS OR THREE DAYS' CLEARANCE OF CHEQUES OVER £250.
  
  HOWEVER, SHOULD THE PURCHASER WISH, HE/SHE MAY MAKE INDIVIDUAL ARRANGEMENTS WITH US. IF ITEMS ARE BOUGHT AT THE SALE AND NOT PAID FOR, THEY WILL BE RE-ENTERED FOR THE NEXT SALE AFTER TWO WEEKS.
