Merkel Shotguns

Merkel is an interesting company with an expansive history. The company is known today as Merkel, but has gone by many names throughout its history. These different names include E.A. Merkel, Merco, Abesser & Merkel, B. Merkel, and Gebrüder Merkel. A shotgun stamped with any of these names is considered a Merkel.

Merkel, a German company, has been in both American and Russian hands. After a time, it was purchased by H&K and then Caracal International.

Throughout Merkel’s history, the manufacturer has always produced extremely high-quality firearms. They build and design sporting rifles and shotguns. Their shotguns are double-barrel designs, which are side by side or over-and-under designs. Their weapons are well known and renowned for their high quality and the classic workmanship placed into each weapon. Merkel shotguns are for the most discerning shotgunner.
