Dante's Inferno (Fox, 1935). MP Graded Insert (14

Lot 86199: Dante's Inferno (Fox, 1935). MP Graded Insert (14" X 36

by Heritage Auctions

March 28, 2015, 1:00 PM CST

Dallas, TX, USA

Estimated Price: $2,500 - $5,000

Description: Dante's Inferno (Fox, 1935). MP Graded Insert (14" X 36"). Visions of hell fill this poster for this tale based very loosely on Dante's poem. Spencer Tracy and Claire Trevor star, with an early appearance by Rita Cansino, who would go on to become Rita Hayworth. It's been several years since Heritage presented this truly haunting insert, which has been mounted on paper and airbrushing applied to the borders. Touchup was applied to the folds, a tear in the left border into the background, a chip in the top right corner, pinholes in the corners, and a bottom right corner bend. A small scratch near the bottom is slightly perceptible. An excellent find for fans of some of early Hollywood's brightest stars! MP Graded 8.5. Very Fine on Paper.
