Description: 800 silver Germany, around 1910 German silver mark crescent and crown, hallmark '800' and maker's mark underneath Handles with monogram 'MK' 121 pieces, complete cutlery for 9 to 12 people Knives with steel blades Length of the table knives: 25.7 cm Total weight: ca. 5874 grams Good condition This luxurious table cutlery for nine to twelve people is of curved form with a disseminating handle and tipped ending. The ending is adorned with rocaille shapes along the edge. The spoons have got ovoid bowls. Every piece of cutlery bears the monogram 'MK' at the end of the handle. The table silver consists of 121 pieces: 12 dinner forks 12 large knives with steel blades 12 large spoons 10 small forks 9 small knives with steel blades 12 small spoons 12 fish forks 12 fish knives 13 cake forks 11 coffee spoons 6 serving pieces All pieces of the table silver bear the German silver mark crescent and crown, hallmark '800' and the maker's mark underneath. The table silver is in good condition with traces of wear and age. The bowls of two soup spoons are cut off at the top. The length of the table knives is 25.7 cm (including the blade). Schultze" Works by Robert Schultze fetch up to 8,700 euros at international auctions At the reverse side handwritten „Engstlensee Schweiz" Beautifully framed Overall Dimensions: 61.5 x 47 cm Provenance: From the estate of a Berlin collector This oil painting shows, as noted on the reverse side, a mountain landscape near the Engstlensee, a natural dam in the Swiss canton of Bern. Located at the top of the Gental Jochpass. The canvas shows a steep, grassy slope and pine trees under a blue sky. In the center stands a tree broken by lightning. In earthy tones, the artist has captured a naturalistic landscape. The significantly soiled canvas is mounted onto a plate. The frame is in good condition with traces of age and use. Lower left the image is signed with "R. Schultze". On the reverse side it is entitled with "Engstensee Switzerland". The dimensions are 61.5 x 47 cm (framed) and 47 x 32 cm (cut out). Robert Schultze (1828-1910) The German landscape painter Robert Schultze was born in 1828 in Magdeburg. He studied at the Academy in Dresden and Düsseldorf, also under Johann Wilhelm Schirmer (1807-1863). Schultze worked in Munich. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance. Der Hauptinhalt ist dann eher sachlich gehalten mit den Überthemen: Die königliche Giro- und Lehnbanco (1765-1846) / Die Preußische Bank (1847-1875) / Die Reichsbank (1876-1914) / Die Reichsbank (1914-1932) / Die Reichsbank seit der Machtergreifung.EF (43)Die Deutsche Reichsbank, geschaffen durch das Bankgesetz vom 14.3.1875, ging aus der Preußischen Bank hervor, die ursprünglich unter dem Namen Königliche Giro- und Lehnbank in Berlin im Jahre 1765 von Friedrich dem Großen gegründet worden war. Zunächst war die Reichsbank keine Staatsanstalt und ausschließlich im Besitz von Privatkapital. Dennoch war sie keine gewöhnliche Aktiengesellschaft: Sie war nicht im Handelsregister eingetragen, sondern durch Gesetz gegründet, die Befugnisse der Generalversammlung waren eingeschränkt. Die Anteilseigner wählten einen Zentralausschuss, der wiederum drei Deputierte bestimmte, die eine fortlaufende Kontrolle über die Verwaltung der Bank zu führen hatten. Leitung und Aufsicht der Bank übte das Reich aus. Diese Funktion beschränkte das Gesetz über die Autonomie der Reichsbank vom 26.5.1922 auf das reine Aufsichtsrecht. Die Leitung stand von da an ausschließlich dem Reichsbankdirektorium zu, dessen Präsident auf Vorschlag des Reichsrats vom Reichspräsidenten auf Lebenszeit ernannt wurde. Diese Autonomie hörte de facto schon vorher, de jure am 30.1.1937 auf, als sich Hitler das Reichsbankdirektorium direkt unterstellte. Bis zuletzt hatte die Bank aber private Anteilseigner. Nach 1945 wurden die Reichsbank-Anteilscheine in Bundesbank-Genussscheine umgetauscht.
