Description: Alan Aldridge-Limited Edition A/P giclee Iron Man. Hand signed artist proof. 18x24 inches Includes certificate of authenticity.

Condition Report: This is new and in mint condition. Iron Man-Alan Aldridge-approx. 18 x 24 This piece is the artist proof in the Limited Edition Hand signed and numbered Giclee. He was hired in March 1965 by Penguins chief editor Tony Godwin to become the art director of Penguin Books. As art director, he especially focused on science fiction book covers and introduced his style which resonated with the mood of the time. In 1968 he moved to his own graphic-design firm, INK, which became closely involved with graphic images for the Beatles and Apple Corps. During the 1960s and 1970s he was responsible for most Beatles & Elton John album covers. He helped create the graphic style of that era. His work is characterised by a flowing, cartoony style and soft airbrushing - very much in step with the psychedelic styles of the times. Excellent conditon.

Nightmare On Elm Street 5 Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) Full Teeth Mold And Photo

Lot 10: Nightmare On Elm Street 5 Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) Full Teeth Mold And Photo

by Premiere Props

October 25, 2014, 11:00 AM PST

El Segundo, CA, USA

Estimated Price: $200 - $400

Description: Nightmare On Elm Street 5 Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) Full Teeth Mold And Photo - When one thinks of Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) in Wes Craven's "Nightmare On Elm Street" films and TV series, one flashes first on his razor-blade glove, then his outfit of fedora hat and red-green stripped sweater, and then that horrific burnt and scared grinning face of his, with the mangled and crooked teeth. Of course it took hours to create his iconic face makeup. As for the teeth, a special mold was made of Englund's actual set of teeth, and from that, a special set of prosthetic "Freddy Teeth" were created that he could put over his own. This is one of the actual molds of Englund's teeth, which was used to create the special effects set of teeth. The mold was made for use in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child" (1989) and is from the personal collection of legendary Special Effects Coordinator Andre G. Ellingson, who worked on many of the "Nightmares", including "Dream Child" (which he also acted in), as well as "New Nightmares", and the complete "Freddy's Nightmare" TV series. Andre is also known for his work on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", and is now the Special Effects Coordinator from the smash hit TV series "Criminal Minds". Englund's full teeth mold comes with a production photograph, and includes a letter of Provenience from Andre, as well as copies of some of his personal photographs from the set. Special note: Andre Ellingson will be at our Fangoria Auction in person and on camera to discuss this special effects mold and his other great items from his personal collection.

Lot 1S: Patina Bronze Sculture After the Artist Rufino Tamayo (1S)

by Art Everywhere Auctions

December 1, 2014, 2:00 PM CST

Tulsa, OK, USA

Estimated Price: $8,000 - $9,000

Description: Patina Bronze Sculture After the Artist Rufino Tamayo; limited edition, singed, size approx. 17 1/2 x 7 x 3 in. Rufino Tamayo (1899-1991) was born in Oaxaca, Mexico. The paintings and graphics of Rufino Tamayo have acquired a decisive importance in contemporary art in terms both of its high quality, maintained throughout a long, intense life, and its special significance. He was very clearly one of the greatest of American creators and, at the same time, one of the artists who managed to penetrate deepest into the reality of today's Man, going beyond his historical dimension. His knowledge of the great pre-Columbian cultures allowed him to make an extraordinary synthesis which forms part of a universalist conception of art. Tamayo sought the essential, which he expressed through a deliberately limited range of colours in order to give the freest possible rein to tonal interplay. His subject matter tends to be simple - figures of men and women, animals -, almost sketchy, although charged with content.
