Collection of Four Original Etchings, early-mid 20th century, including: a Julius Komjati (Hungarian/British, 1894-1958) etching depicting a country landscape with figure and house, signed lower right and within-the-mat with further inscription concealed by mat, circa 1932; 14.75" H x 17.75" W]; a Johnstone Baird (Scottish, 1880-1935) etching titled "Loch Katrine" depicting a coastal landscape with two trees in the foreground and a village in the distance, signed lower right and within-the-print, early 20th century [Frame: 18.75" H x 14.5" W]; a Sidney Mackenzie Litten (British, 1887-1934) dry point etching titled "Night and the Palace", 1928, pencil signed lower right and left, and titled to center, with further inscriptions to mat [Frame: 16.75" H x 21.75" W]; and an etching depicting a bird's-eye street scene of Vasteras, Sweden, with illegible inscriptions to sheet, dated 1924 [Frame: 16.5" H x 19.25" W]. Johnstone Baird, Villa Bianca

Born in Ayshire, the Scottish etcher and engraver Johnstone Baird studied at the Glasgow School of Art and began exhibiting landscapes and architectural subjects at the Royal Scottish Academy from 1910. During the first world war he served as an architect with the Admiralty, 1917-1919. He traveled widely on the continent and exhibited regularly from 1910-1930. He died in 1935.
