Antoine Barbier, Nebelmorgen dunstige morgendliche Herbstlandschaft mit Weiden am Weiher, stimmungsvolle impressionistische Landschaftsmalerei, Aquarell, um 1930, links unten signiert "A. Barbier", rückseitig neuzeitliche Hinweise zum Künstler, geblichen und gegilbt, original hinter Glas gerahmt, Falzmaße ca. 29 x 39 cm. Künstlerinfo: frz. Watercolourist, illustrator, draughtsman, painter, fresco artist, church painter and orientalist as well as writer, poet, topographer and professor of the French language in Algeria (1859 Saint-Symphorien-de-Lay/Loire to 1948 Lyon), artistically self-taught, initially destined to become a priest, at times as a topographer, bank clerk and salesman at the Grand Bazaar in Lyon, extended stay with his older brother in Algiers in Algeria, temporarily worked as manager of a vineyard in Turkey, created frescoes for the Matarieh Church in Cairo and for the Royal Palace in Sofia, 1887-95 court painter to Tsar Ferdinand I. of Bulgaria, illustrator and poster artist in Paris from 1895, married and moved to Lyon in 1900, undertook numerous study trips with his wife through France, England, Italy and Switzerland, during which he occasionally worked as a lecturer in watercolour painting, attended the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris from 1904-39, of which he was a member from 1913, attended the Salon Salon d'Hiver, the Salon des Paysagistes Français and exhibitions in Lyon, Algiers, Geneva and St. Étienne, was awarded the Grand Prix des Artistes d'Étienne.
