Borch 1901’ Laughing faun with elaborate hair, the neck merging in a roughly modeled stele Height: circa 50 cm Very good condition A typical naturalistic bronze by Borch with an antique-like subject commensurate with the taste of the time Condition: The bronze is in very good condition and has only the lightest signs of use. The height is circa 50 cm. Elna Inger Cathrine Borch (1869-1950) Elna Boch came from a family of artists that played a significant role in the cultural life of Roskilde for generations. She took first drawing lessons with her uncle Jacob Kornerup. She learned the art of sculpture as a private pupil of the sculptor August Saabye in Copenhagen.
