    AUTOGRAPHS: BRIDGES ROBERT: (1844-1930) British Poet Laureate 1913-30. A.L.S., Robert Bridges, one page, 8vo, Warkworth, 15th September 1898, to a gentleman. Bridges thanks his correspondent for a kind present of a volume of poems, although adds that he has not had time to read it yet. The poet continues 'I gather from your letter that you approve of the theology in my Gloucester Festival Ode. Certainly if the Rev. Father Russell (brother to Lord Russell of Killowen) approved of your theology, you wd. be in a bad way'. With blank integral leaf. VG
