        oil on canvas, signed and dated 1925 at lower left 20 x 18 in., 50.8 x 45.7 cm Exhibited: Cookham, Spencers and Carlines , 1973. Oxford, Ashmolean Museum, 1977. Brother-in-law to Stanley Spencer, Sydney Carline was also educated at the Slade (1907-10) before becoming a war artist attached to the RAF during the Great War. He exhibited at the Royal Academy both before and after the War, before his untimely death from pneumonia in 1929.
