Salon der Zarin Alexandra Fjodorowna im Hotel Belvedere in Interlaken. Aquarell über Spuren von Bleistift, weiß gehöht, montiert auf den originalen Untersatz. 17,3 x 27 cm. Unten rechts signiert, bezeichnet und datiert "P. F. Peters / Interlaken 1859", auf dem Untersatz von Großfürstin Olga bezeichnet "Interlaken1859 salon de Maman à l'hôtel Belvedère". Diese und folgende Losnummern stammen von Olgas Aufenthalt in Interlaken, wo sie ihre Mutter nach langer Zeit wiedersah: "Das Wiedersehen der Kaiserin von Rußland und ihrer Tochter, der Kronprinzessin von Würtemberg, in Interlaken war ein sehr rührendes. Die Kaiserin Mutter war mit einem Extraschiff von Thun nach Interlaken gefahren. Lange wartete die Kronprinzessin Olga, auf einem Stuhle am Ufer des See's sitzend, bis das Schiff in Sicht kam. Da eilte sie, ohne auf einen kleinen Regenschauer zu achten, an den Landungsplatz. Mutter und Tochter hielten sich lange umfaßt und fuhren dann in einem einfachen Wagen nach Interlaken." (Bonner Zeitung vom 28. 1856. Schlafgemach der Zarin Alexandra Fjodorowna im Hotel Bellevue in Wildbad. Aquarell und Gouache, auf dem originalen Untersatz aufgezogen. 28,8 x 24,2 cm (im Oval). Unten signiert "P. F. Peter" sowie bezeichnet und datiert "Wildbad july / 1856", auf dem Untersatz recto und verso von Großfürstin Olga bezeichnet "chambre a coucher de Maman a Wildbad / oú Micha et ... de Bade furent promis le 29 Juine / 11 Juillet 1856". Kaiserin Witwe Alexandra Fjodorowna verbrachte im Sommer 1856 mehrere Wochen zur Kur in Wildbad, was den kleinen Schwarzwaldort in Aufruhr versetzte: "kein Plätzchen, wo die Zarin vorüberfuhr blieb im engen Oertchen menschenleer; Triumphpforten, Blumenkränze, Laubgeflechte und Guirlanden ... schmückten ... Häuser und Straßen... Für den Augenblick ist das kleine Wildbad mit vornehmen, reichen und hochgestellten Russen überfüllt, und träufelt ein ausgiebiger und äußerst fruchtbarer Regen moskowitischer Gold-Imperialen auf das bescheidene, wohlgesittete und vom Luxus der Großbäder noch nicht angehauchte Waldstädtchen nieder." (Der Beobachter: ein Volksblatt aus Schwaben, Ausgabe vom 8.7.1856, S. 4). Das Zusammenkommen hochrangigen Adels war auch der Heiratspolitik zuträglich: Am 11. Juli wurde die Verlobung des Sohnes der Kaiserin, Großfürst Michael Nikolajewitsch, mit Prinzessin Cäcilie von Baden bekannt gegeben.
