From the New Jersey shore, she has researched the archives of Atlantic City history creating the beautiful beach scenes of yesteryear. The strolling ladies with parasols, the famous Boardwalk, the jitney chairs, the posturing gentleman, are all rendered in magnificent oils. Her impressionistic technique makes liberal use of the art palette knife to add a sense of subtlety to her works. Beyond her popular Roaring 20's beach scenes, Marie is also famous for her paintings of the "Sport of Kings". To say she is a horse-racing enthusiast is to restate the obvious. Marie loves the ponies. It is obvious in her striking oils that pay tribute to one of God's most noble beast, the thoroughbred racing horse.
