BIOGRAPHY: Fabio Cipolla was an Italian painter who was trained in Rome, where acquired considerable skill in the study of the figure to be composed in refined genre scenes, he also devoted himself to the landscape painting.With studies of oriental figures he made his first appearance at the exhibitions in Milan in 1879 and in Turin in 1880, and in the following years he developed the adoption of a mannered narrative realism on genre subjects.Present above all at the Roman exhibitions (1882, Civetta; La vedova di Naim; 1884, Olevano, A sedici anni, Margherita; 1886, Natale) found a good reception on the French market.From the end of the century he also painted furniture paintings (Autumn in the city, Winter, recently appeared on the market) without abandoning the landscape (La nebbia, exhibited at the exhibition "In arte Libertas" of 1902), for which he also adopted tempera and 'watercolor (Venetian memories, Interior of the village, Rome, Municipal Gallery of Modern Art). From 1904 he was part of the group of the "XXV della Campagna Romana".
