De Ferrante studied at the Instituto delle Belle Art in Naples, Italy. He taught at Barnsdale College from 1970-84. He was also a member of the Western Serigraph Institute of Los Angeles. The first years after his arrival, he did murals and serigraphs, becoming one of the first members of the Los Angeles Serigraphy Institute of Los Angeles. He established a studio in Glendale. Exhibits: Biennale de Milano (1st prize); Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1952; Martinez Civic Arts Gallery, 1996 (retrospective). Works held in Public Places: Yale, Princeton, & Brigham Young universities; U.S. Bureau of Information (Washington); Library of Congress; Philadelphia Library; Cleveland Museum. 40" x 23 1/2"
