His works span almost three quarters of a century and are represented in many private collections here and abroad. He exhibited in Germany prior to his emigration to the United States in 1928, and his works were displayed at the Hamburg Museum. In the United States he was a regular exhibitor at the Harlow Gallery before it's closing. He spent many years living and working in Brewster, New York, which held a solo exhibit of his work in the early 1970's. Mr. Dehmann is best known for his etchings and aquatints of New York City.
