Floor lamp in the manner of MARC DU PLANTIER (Madagascar 1901, Paris 1975). France, 1950s. Iron and parchment lampshade. Patina on the whole. Presents some stains and slight burn on the back of the parchment lampshade. Measurements: 180 x 47.5 x 26 cm. Floor lamp with rectangular base in hammered iron, linear shaft in wrought iron with dark patina and rectangular lampshade in parchment. The design of this lamp harmonizes with the conceptual line of Marc du Plantier, essential decorator of the international high bourgeoisie. His furniture, tapestries and curtains adorned luxurious mansions in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Beirut. Although Plantier's recognition did not come during his lifetime, the serene and luxurious majesty of his creations made him one of the benchmarks of contemporary design.

Table lamp in the manner of MARC DU PLANTIER (Madagascar, 1901-France, 1975), ca. 1940-1950. Wrought iron and parchment shade. Frame in very good condition with original patina. Lampshade with wear, losses and aging typical of use and the passage of time (see photographs). Measurements: 95 x 42 x 22 cm. Table lamp of marked sculptural presence made of wrought iron with quadrangular base and truncated pyramidal shaft, worked with visible hammering and original dark patina. The structure is evidence of brutalist craftsmanship, with a sober and architectural formal language. Rectangular screen composed of translucent parchment panels manually sewn by means of exposed cord, generating an interesting textile and volumetric effect. The light, passing through the parchment, produces a warm and diffuse illumination that contrasts with the forcefulness of the iron. The ensemble clearly refers to the vocabulary of mid-20th century French design, in the orbit of Marc du Plantier, Jean-Michel Frank and Diego Giacometti.

Floor lamp; Attributed to MARC DU PLANTIER (Madagascar 1901, Paris 1975), France, 1940s. Iron and linen shade. In good condition commensurate with use and age, with original patina on the iron, visible welds typical of artisan manufacture and updated wiring. Measurements: Floor lamp with rectangular base in hammered iron, linear shaft in wrought iron with dark patina and rectangular lampshade in linen of recent manufacture. The design of this lamp harmonizes with the conceptual line of Marc du Plantier, essential decorator of the international high bourgeoisie. His furniture, tapestries and curtains adorned luxurious mansions in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Beirut. Although Plantier's recognition did not come during his lifetime, the serene and luxurious majesty of his creations made him one of the benchmarks of contemporary design. The sofa in question is determined by pure lines and right angles. Raised on four stipe legs, it has a carved and gilded wood structure and fine greenish upholstery. In good condition according to use and age, with original patina on the iron, visible welds typical of artisan manufacture and updated wiring.

Pair of MARC DU PLANTIER (Madagascar 1901, Paris 1975). Spain, ca. 1940. Carved and gilded wood. Upholstered. Provenance: Private collection of the psychiatrist Don Juan José López-Ibor. Measurements: 94 x 62 x 100 cm (x2). The clean, subtle and elegant forms were the conceptual line of Marc du Plantier, essential decorator of the international high bourgeoisie. His furniture, tapestries and curtains adorned luxurious mansions in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Beirut. Although Plantier's recognition did not come during his lifetime, the serene and luxurious majesty of his creations made him one of the benchmarks of contemporary design. The pair of armchairs in question is characterised by pure lines and right angles. Standing on four stipe legs, both have a carved and gilded wooden structure and fine greenish upholstery.
