Esch presents narrow spaces piling up with an image-filling density that reminds of the spacial restrictions of megacities. His buildings and townscapes document a long list of the most powerful economic centers in the world. The present work ‘Hong Kong 05’ is a highly aesthetic example of his artistic output and conveys an idea of the metropolis, especially known for its unremitting change. The Lambda color print is in mint condition. It is number 62 from a limited edition of 75 copies and has been laminated on Alu-Dibond. The image size is equal to the sheet size of 180 x 220 cm. The Lumas edition certificate with all typographic indications on the work is enclosed and has been signed by the artist ‘HG Esch’. Hans Georg Esch (b. 1964) Hans Georg Esch, famously known as H.G. Esch, is specialized in the field of architecture photography and works on behalf of renowned architectural offices that shape the urban spaces of the future. Esch initially completed an apprenticeship for photography, before he established as a freelance photographer, since 1989.
