He was appointed by King George III to be his marine engraver. Henry Tresham RA (c.1751 – 17 June 1814) was an Irish-born historical painter active in London, England, in the late 18th century. He spent some time in Rome early in his career, and was professor of painting at the Royal Academy in London from 1807 to 1809

        After P.J. de Loutherbourg Engraving, [C.134(h)] 1803, by the engraver 570 x 670mm. (22 1/2 x 26 3/8 in) The Battle of the Nile was the culmination of a seven week pursuit from Toulon to Aboukir Bay, from June to the beginning of August, 1798, of the French fleet by the British, under Rear-Admiral Nelson. Such was the scale of the victory that he was afterwards created Baron Nelson of the Nile, and awarded a pension of £2000 per annum.

        Under the Command of Earl Howe, on the 1st June 1794, After Philippe de Loutherbourg R.A. Engraving, [C.102(d)] Circa 1799, V. and R. Green 580 x 790 mm. (22 3/4 x 31 in) Unframed Commemorating the valiant pursuit of the French fleet by the British, under Lord Howe, though the latter part of May 1794, culminating in a fierce 3-day battle off the small island of Ushant, near Brest. The engagement from the 30th May was interrupted by thick fog, but resulted in the capture or destruction of most of the French vessels on 1st June, and a glorious homecoming to Portsmouth on 13th June to be welcomed and honoured by George III.
