Thomas Gainsborough's paintings reflect 18th century Britain, and while many of the artist's best-known works are portraits of nobility, his other passion was landscapes. While living in Bath, he became renowned for his portraiture. Subsequently moving to London, his portrait skills attracted the attention of King George III and Queen Charlotte. Thomas Gainsborough's prints showcase his use of various media, such as chalk, charcoal, graphite, and color washes.
