(British, 1908-1996). To include: (A) Watercolor of two ladies speaking with a child at a coastal bathing scene. Signed lower right. Sight size: 5 3/4" high x 8" wide. In a gilded frame under glass measuring: 9 3/4" high x 12" wide. (B) Watercolor of gentleman bowing as several dressed ladies come down a flight of stairs. Very faint signature lower left. Sight size: 5 1/4" high x 7" wide. In a gilded frame under glass measuring: 9 1/4" high x 10 3/4" wide. (C) Four watercolor illustrations in a double-sided glazed frame with two on each side. They depict village and motoring scenes with figures in period dress. Sight size of each illustration approximately: 5 1/4" high x 6 3/4" wide. In a gilded frame under glass measuring: 13" high x 21 1/2" wide. Verso side of frame has a gold mounted liner. Along with 17 books and pamphlets by Goodall including: (D) Five books from The "Story of ..." sequence: Seashore, Castle, Min Street, Farm, English Village. All measure approximately 7 1/4" high x 10 1/4" wide. Four are first American edition published by Markaret K. McElderry Books, Macmillan Publishing Company, New York. The Story of an English Village possibly first edition published by Macmillan London. (E) Eight books of various titles from his Edwardian series: Victorians Abroad; An Edwardian Holiday (2 copies); An Edwardian Christmas; Edwardian Entertainments; An Edwardian Summer (2 copies); Before the War. All published by Macmillan. (F) Above and Below the Stairs. Clever split-page/partial-page overlays that reveal sequential scenes of English household life "above" and "below" the stairs.
