    PREDELLA: DER HEILIGE ANTONIUS. DIE VERKÜNDIGUNG. DER HEILIGE JOHANNES DER TÄUFER Tempera auf Holz. 16,5 x 191 cm. In vergoldetem und gekehltem Rahmen. Stark horizontal ausgerichtete Predella gehörte vermutlich einst zum Altar, welchen Francesco Granacci für die Kirche Santa Maria bei Cintoia schuf. Darauf deutet das Wappen hin, welches links am Rand einleitet und der Familie Vernaccia gehört, welche die Patrone dieser Kirche waren, den Bau und die Einrichtung unterstützten. Die zu dieser Predella gehörige Pala (Altarretabel) wird heute im Museo d‘Arte Sacra di San Francesco a Greve in Chianti aufbewahrt. Holst und alle folgenden Wissenschaftler datieren das Werk auf ungefähr 1498. Rest. Provenienz: Santa Maria, Cintoia, Toskana, Italien.
