In 1882, co-founded the Musée Grévin, Paris's famous wax museum, and served as its first director. Condition A- une petite perforation. Un homme rédige seul une lettre grâce aux conseils du manuel. Cette profession de secrétaire de tout le monde, est perpétuée avec cet ouvrage, montrant la nécessité de ces connaissances. Remarquons le personnage écrit debout. C'est un usage inhabituel aujourd'hui mais plus répandu à l'époque, y compris chez les plus grands tel que Victor Hugo.

Circa 1860's. Alfred Grevin was known as a 19th C caricaturist. This is a great pair of woman peddlers, and we are not breaking them up, we offer these two figurines from the late 19th C. One depicts a parisian woman wearing a fancy hat and holding a spade, while the other wears a deer's head as hat and is carrying a hinged napsack that opens on her back, while holding a shovel. Both mounted on a black marble base, and signed A Grevin. Size: 13.5" tallest. Good condition.
