Sheffield’ Mat dimensions: each 39.8 x 50 cm Gold painted frame: 45 x 55 cm Good condition Provenance: Private collection, Sweden Skillfully executed and detailed landscape views by the British artist with animal and figural staffage; his watercolors fetch up to €3,500 at international auctions In fine, skillful brushwork and atmospheric coloring the British artist who was born 1859 in Sheffield has captured these two landscape views. Shown are views from his homeland Yorkshire with vast plains, bodies of water and animals or humans that animate as staffage the scenes. Condition: Both sheets are presumably laid down on cardboard and affixed into a mat. Overall both sheets are in good condition. The frames are in good condition with slight signs of wear.
