Helen Pula Rubuntja

Helen was born on Ammaroo Station. Her mother is Nelly Rubuntja Apetyarr, another artist of Ampilatwatja. Helen depicts the Dreaming stories from her grandmother’s country in her paintings. She is the niece of Wenton Rubuntja, who was a well known artist and a key figure in the land rights movement. Helen is also the cousin of the artist, Mervyn Rubuntja.
