An Old Florida style wetlands depicting a tree with its leaves fallen off, surrounded by additional naturalistic elements. Artist signed lower right. The artist was a follower of and brother in law to the Florida Highwayman Albert E. "Beanie" Backus. Accompanied with original 2011 newspaper article announcing his induction into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame, and fragment of hand written receipt, both affixed to back. Presented under glass with a fabric border in a carved wood gallery frame. Sight size measures approximately 21.25" x 26.85". Provenance; a private collection. Dimensions: 32 X 37 X 1 in. Condition: Good overall condition having normal to mild age related surface wear. Not examined out of frame. Frame having mild to moderate storage wear to edges and corners.
