    London.- Judge (Fred) Camera Pictures of London at Night, 2pp. preface as printed facsimile of Judge's handwriting, 24 photogravure plates, original cloth, fore edge of covers stained, oblong 4to, London & Hastings, Judges' Ltd, 1924. ⁂ Judge (1870-1951) was prominent in the Royal Photographic Society at this time and produced this album of evocative impressions of London streets by night for his friends, depicting the street-life and transport of 1920s London in a misty, dreamlike atmosphere.

Ltd, 1924. *** A very good copy of a surprisingly rare book, with no auction records. The "great charm of these photographs lies in their pictorial rendering of the gradations of light. Mr Judge is at all times a stickler for nuance, but here he has been fortified with abundance of silhouette and contrast." (from a review in The British Journal of Photography, March 1924).
