As a child, English artist Percy Kelly roamed around the docks close to his home, drawing everything he saw. Though his teachers suggested he attend art school, his family of seven children was poor, and the prospects were untenable. The talent of painter, Percy Kelly was recognized and pursued by gallery owners, but Kelly rarely exhibited his work, and mostly refused to sell his paintings.
