          Torii, Kiyomine. Der Samuraikämpfer zu Pferd wirft drei Feinde nieder. Signiert links "Kiyomine ga". Mit Hanko und Verlegermarke rechts am Rand. Ukiyo-e Farbholzschnitt. Format ôban tate-e (36,5 x 24,5 cm). Edo (Tokio) um 1840. -- Der Ukiyo-e Künstler Kiyomine Torii wurde 1787 in Edo geboren als Enkel von Kiyomitsu Torii I (1735-1785) und lernte ab 1795 als Schüler von Kiyonaga Torii (1752-1815). In seinen jungen Jahren benutzte er die Signatur "Kiyomine ga". Die Ukiyo-e, die er in diesen Jahren herstellte, sind hauptsächlich Bijin-ga (Bilder von Kurtisanen), Schlachtenszenen, wie die vorliegende, sind eher selten. – Wenige Gebrauchsspuren, minimal berieben, sehr farbkräftiger Druck.
