Al Lachman Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1936 -

Lachman was born in New York and studied at Syracuse University, the Art Student's League, and School of Visual Arts. He became known for his pastels as well as his oil paintings. At the 20th Annual National Exhibition of the Pastel Society of America at the National Arts Club in New York City, he received the Society's highest award, "Best of Show, The Joseph Giffuni Memorial Award". He was also elected a Director on the Board of Control of the Pastel Society of America. Lachman is also one of the original founders and first instructors of the PSA School for Pastels. He later settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife.

Taped to foam core by artist. Lachman was born in New York and studied at Syracuse University, the Art Student's League, and School of Visual Arts. He became known for his pastels as well as his oil paintings. At the 20th Annual National Exhibition of the Pastel Society of America at the National Arts Club in New York City, he received the Society's highest award, "Best of Show, The Joseph Giffuni Memorial Award". He was also elected a Director on the Board of Control of the Pastel Society of America. Lachman is also one of the original founders and first instructors of the PSA School for Pastels. He later settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife. MEASUREMENTS: 20" x 32". Overall with foam core 26" x 34". CONDITION: Tape residue and with tape adhered to left and right side of edges of paper. Minor paper loss at upper right edge.
