    A striking 19th century chromolithograph from Cassell's Poultry Book, depicting “Miss Fairhurst’s Pair of White Dorkings,” a prize-winning poultry pair that took first prize at Colchester in 1873. Illustrated by J. W. Ludlow, whose work is celebrated for its anatomical accuracy and lifelike portrayal of poultry breeds, this print was lithographed by Vincent Brooks Day & Son, one of the most esteemed British lithographic firms of the Victorian era. The piece is professionally matted and housed in a giltwood frame with a wired back for hanging.     Five color prints by J. W. Ludlow, from 'The Illustrated Book of Poultry' by Lewis Wright, 1873-1890. All measure approximately 10.75-in. x 8.25-in. sheet size. In G/VG condition, with some folds and spotting. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email.
