Squisite immagini di uccelli e piante in tenui sfumature di nero, grigio, salmone, marrone, con giallo e rosa, ispirate all'album di stampe di uccelli e fiori di Kono Bairei (1881-1884), ma qui in un formato grande e suggestivo. SI AGGIUNGONO: Imao Keinen (Kyoto 1845 – 1924). Tre tavole da Keinen Kacho Gafu. Tecnica: nishike-e (xilografia a colori). Formato: ôban verticale (mm 370x240). Data: Meiji 24-25 [1891-1892]. Keinen kachō gafu è il più famoso libro giapponese sugli uccelli e i fiori del periodo Meiji con ogni volume associato a una stagione. Quest'opera è legata al mondo tessile giapponese ed è stata fonte di ispirazione per i disegni decorativi e i ricami dei kimono. (13) Colori freschi, fogli integri lievemente ingialliti. Japanese thread binding, half leather binding, spine with title embossed in gold "JAPANESE BIRDS." Four pages of text, followed by 24 single-page and 21 double-page woodblock prings with depictions of birds and plants. From an old Berlin private collection, collected before 2007 - The leather covers partially worn and dam., slightly soiled in places; the paper title label somewhat torn, the plates in good, clean condition Maekawa Bunrei (1837-1917) was a painter from Kyoto. His father Maekawa Gorei was also a painter of the Shijo school and was trained by Matsumura Keibun Maekawa Bunrei (1837-1917): Bunrei gafu (Bunreis Malhandbuch). Bd. I Japan, Yokohama, Noritake Shokai, 18. Jahr der Meiji-Periode (1885) 36 x 25 cm Farbholzschnitte. Band I von II. Japanische Fadenbindung, Halblederband, Rücken mit in Gold geprägtem Titel "JAPANESE BIRDS."
