          Paul Milet (FRENCH, 1870 - 1950) yellow and brown flambe glazed porcelain round bowl set in dore bronze rim mounting with holly leaf and berries design. Black MP in circle mark to bottom. Measures approx. 3 1/4" height x 12" width x 13 3/4" depth. Some gilt loss / patina. Shows use marks to interior of bowl. EF/B15/CB:C

Milet trained at the Manufacture de Sevres. He became a chemist and worked in the factory founded by his father in 1866 at 8, rue Troyon in Sevres, a stone's throw from the Manufacture. Paul Milet held exhibitions at the Galliera Palace during the Porcelain Exhibition in 1907, then in 1909 and 1911 at the Stoneware, Earthenware and Terracotta Exhibition. He abandoned the production of porcelain after the First World War.
