MORETTI, G. (Giuseppe Moretti, 1859-1935), America circa 1900. 'Carrara' marble and bronze. Signed G. MORETTI SC. Die Haupteinnahmequelle waren Kriegsdenkmäler; Moretti selbst sagte: '... art, in its various meanings is to be benefited greatly by the sentiment that the world war had reawakened...'. 1925 kehrte der gesundheitlich geschwächte Moretti mit seiner Frau nach Italien zurück, wo er zehn Jahre später in San Remo starb.
