Understood to have been passed down within the family, the carte de visites have always been known to belong with the envelope. An interesting collection of items relating to three of the great explorers of their day.

This coin, together with other coins connected with Canterbury, was exhibited at Canterbury Cathedral under the title 'Minting at Canterbury' and was loaned by Mr R.
