Augusto Murer (1922-1985), two bronze sculptures ‘Cavallo’, 1980 Two bronze sculptures from the ‘Cavallo’ series, conceived as individual works, together on a round pedestal. The horses are depicted in tense, animated poses and, although intended as individual pieces, they appear to interact with each other. Expressively modelled, slightly abstracted bodies with accentuated surface structure in dark patinated bronze. Each signed ‘A. Murer 80’ on the hind leg, numbered 19/199 on the left and 74/199 on the right, also marked with the foundry stamp ‘Venturi Arte’ (near Bologna). Height (without base): approx. 27.5 cm each. Total weight: approx. 23.6 kilograms. Very good condition. Augusto Murer (1922-1985), zwei Bronzeskulpturen „Cavallo“, 1980 Zwei als einzelne Werke konzipierte Bronzeskulpturen aus der Serie „Cavallo“, gemeinsam auf Rundsockel. Die Pferde sind in spannungsreicher, bewegter Haltung dargestellt und obwohl als Einzelstücke gedacht, wirkt es als würden sie miteinander interagieren. Ausdrucksstark modellierte, leicht abstraktierte Körper mit betonter Oberflächenstruktur in dunkel patinierter Bronze. Jeweils am Hinterlauf signiert „A. Murer 80“, nummeriert links 19/199, rechts 74/199, zudem mit Gießereistempel „Venturi Arte“ (nahe Bologna) versehen. Höhe (ohne Sockel): jeweils ca. 27,5 cm. Gesamtgewicht: ca. 23,6 Kilogramm. Superficie: 95% (depositi) Per maggiori informazioni: 346 12 999 80 (Whatsapp) Accostatosi alla scultura nella scuola d’arte di Ortisei, Augusto Murer (Falcade 1922 – Padova 1985) raggiunse la maturità artistica lavorando per un breve periodo, nell’autunno del 1943, a Venezia con Arturo Martini in un’esperienza formativa bruscamente interrotta dagli eventi bellici. Lasciata la città lagunare, militò sui monti bellunesi nella brigata partigiana Fratelli Fenti. Nel dopoguerra praticò la scultura soprattutto in legno, fino al pieno successo sul finire degli anni Cinquanta, che lo portò a realizzare nel 1964 il Monumento alla partigiana a Venezia con il basamento progettato da Carlo Scarpa. Tra gli anni Settanta e Ottanta si confrontò con temi esistenziali e si cimentò con tecniche diverse, eseguendo, tra l’altro, nel 1975 dieci acqueforti dedicate a “Il sergente nella neve” di Mario Rigorni Stern. Centrale è nella sua produzione la figura umana, nelle opere in legni, nei monumenti e nei bronzi, come nota Enrico Crispolti, segnata da una “vitalià contratta, […] nelle tensioni di un’accesa passionalità”, (Enrico Crispolti, “Il mio ricordo di Murer”, in “Augusto Murer”, catalogo della mostra, Milano 1985, pp. 9-, p. 10). Risalgono alla fine degli anni Settanta e ai primi anni Ottanta, una serie di figure femminili in cui la fisicità assurge a una dimensione mitica e universale in un continuo gioco di rimandi. “Donna che si pettina” del 1982 è chiaramente da porre in relazione con “Donna accovacciata” del 1979. Le opere, realizzate utilizzando probabilmente la stessa modella, costituiscono due momenti della stessa narrazione. La fanciulla nuda e accovacciata, seduta su una pietra e quindi possiamo presumere immersa in uno spazio naturale, muove leggermente il capo verso un lato nella prima scultura e poi nella seconda erge leggermente il busto e volge lo sguardo verso l’alto, compendo il gesto di acconciarsi i capelli. La fisicità e un continuum interretto tra uomo e natura costituiscono gli assi portati dello “scultore delle montagne”, che nel 1972 aveva costruito a Molino di Falcade, sulle Dolomiti bellunesi, il suo studio, oggi sede del Museo Murer, dove ospitò personalità della politica e della cultura. "Donna che si pettina" venne acquisita da Veneto Banca come esemplare unico nel 2004. L'istituto di credito interpellò Franco Murer, figlio dell'artista, a proposito della bibligrafia dell'opera. Franco Murer, oltre a indicare le pubblicazioni essenziali, fornì il titolo alternativo di "Donna al sole" (comunicazione del 20 aprile 2004).
