In 1910 after the printing of the 3rd state (20 or 25 copies) the etching plate was supposedly destroyed. However the plate was cut smaller and a fragment with the sluice was cut off and 14 copies were printed (of which 10 for the company Scheltema & Holkema).

De Boer worked i.a. on the artist's boat the Zwerver and the artist's villa in Fiesole.
